He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollis Gustafson and LaVerne Gustafson; his sister Nancy Timm; and his niece Susan Martin. He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his children, Brendan Gustafson (Kimiko) of Denver and Abbie Pembleton (Aaron) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Kensley Gustafson, Asia of Alynne, AJ and Atley Pembleton; and his siblings, Larry Gustafson (Deb) of Denver and Barbara Ollenburg (Rich). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (4511 6th Ave, Kearney, NE 68845).
One of his favorite contributions to his community was creating Kearney Basketball Club, along with Dale Romatzke, Ron Majors, and Doug Koster.
