She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Woodrow and Vera Irene Christensen (Shaver); her husband Kenneth Edgar Bantam; and her siblings, Shirley Kay Tripe and Gary Christensen.

She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Regenos (Marc) of Kearney, Nebraska, Pam Bantam Cooper (David) of Salina, Kansas and Julia Ulrich (James) of Elkhorn, Nebraska; her grandchildren, McKenna O'Rourke (Scott) of Kearney, Natalie Spitzlberger (Jacob) of San Diego, CA, Alex Regenos of Bettendorf, IA, Olivia Höhne (Marcus) of Bad Schmiedeberg, Germany, Benjamin Cooper of Lawrence, KS, Morgan Ulrich of Omaha and Taylor Ulrich of Dallas, TX; her great grandchildren, Kasey, Kenzie O'Rourke of Kearney, Jax, Ella, Kobi, Tali Spitzlberger of San Diego and Johannes Höhne of Germany; her sister Margie Lange (Don) of Ferndale, WA; and her siblings-in-law, Karon Christensen of Alma, Joy Woodruff of Berthoud, CO, Don Tripe of Alma, John Bantam (Linda) of Orleans and Duane Bantam (Vicki) of Alma. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, former students and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Presbyterian Church - Orleans (206 S Republican Ave, Orleans, NE 68966). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

A memorial has been established in Larene's honor, and kindly suggested to the Harlan County 4-H Extension Service or the donor's choice.
