We are sad to announce that, on April 15, 2026, at the age of 95, Kathleen M. Jestes in Kearney, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Kathleen shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Kathleen farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Velene and Dorothy Velene (Schneider); her husband Chet Jestes; and her son Randy Shelden. She is survived by: her daughters, Connie (Dan Simmons) and Marsha Norvell of Papillion; her daughter-in-law Barb Shelden of Lincoln, NE; and her stepchildren, Patty (John Pecoraro) and Tim (Patty Jestes). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, seven step-great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
