She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer McClain and Eva McClain (Gifford); her husband Ollie Valentine; her daughters, Linda Brott and Joy Slaughter; and her siblings, Roy McClain (Nadine), Evelyn Correll (Clarence), Donna Daly and Edward McClain.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Hays (David) of The Villages and Jerri Lynn Valentine of Kearney; her son-in-law David Slaughter of Kearney; and her siblings-in-law, Carolyn McClain of North Platte, Nebraska and Leroy Daly of Tryon, Nebraska. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
