With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn J. Gustafson of Kearney, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Marilyn shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Marilyn farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence L. Minear and Marion J. Minear (Trandahl); her daughter Trudy Hammel (Dan); and her sisters, Theo Kelly (Dick) and LaVonne Anderson (Mel).
She is survived by: her husband Harry Gustafson; her daughter Tamy; her son-in-law Robert Peterson; her grandchildren, Mindy Wiese (Clay), Ben Baker of Omaha, Shawn Hammel of Papillion, R. J. Peterson and Abigail Peterson of Kearney, Nebraska; and her brother James Minear (Virginia) of Omaha, Nebraska. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
