He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Meyer and Anona Meyer (Grosc); his father-in-law Gene Hennek; his stepfather-in-law Dwight Trautman; and his sister-in-law Kris Strohmyer.
He is survived by: his wife Claudia Jayne Meyer of Kearney, NE; his children, Erich Meyer (Stacy) of Arlington, NE, Alex Meyer (Jennifer) of Omaha, NE, Julie Brestin (John) of North Bend, WA and Lindsay Bonacci (Neal) of Elkhorn, NE.; his grandchildren, Emily Brestin-Singh (Amrinder), Jessamyn Ly (Timothy), Simeon Brestin, Analise Glossinger (Cole), Teaghan, Octavia Brestin, Elisibeth, Allysyn Meyer, Oliver, Elliott, Alexander Meyer, Lillian, Vivian Kroll, Lane, Caraline and Hanna Bonacci; his great grandchildren, Jovie Brestin and Rosalie Glossinger; his siblings, David Meyer (Dora), Philip Meyer (Jane), Paul Meyer (Sue) and Sarah Gillette (Mike); his mother-in-law Darlene Hennek Trautman; and his siblings-in-law, Rod Hennek (Lynne), Tom Hennek, Randy Strohmyer, Patty Mandelko (Mike) and Mary Hofferber (Scott). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the UNMC Alumni Association Scholarship Fund at UNK in care of Dr. Mark H. Meyer or the UNK Aviation Program.
