With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert Hobbs of Kearney, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Robert left this world on October 19, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hobbs and Lillian Hobbs (Thonen); and his siblings, Kathleen Flock of Papillion and John Hobbs II. He is survived by: his wife Artie Hobbs of Kearney; his children, Winfield Scott Hobbs of Seattle, WA, Kent Hobbs (Jincy) of Howell, MI and Alyson Carlson (Mike) of Grant, NE; his brother Dan Hobbs of Lincoln; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Flock of Papillion and Vicki Westcott of Holdrege. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (4500 Linden Dr, Kearney, NE 68847).
Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church or to the Teammates Mentoring Program.
