With sadness, we share the passing of Robert E. Leigh of Kearney, Nebraska. Robert, born on August 29, 1937, passed away on September 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Leigh and Mildred Leigh; his sister Barbara; his wives, Carolyn and Phyllis Olsen; and his grandfather Bob.
He is survived by: his brother Richard (Sharon) of Winter Park, Florida; his brother-in-law Robert Wells of Clearwater, Florida; his children, Christie Thomas (Greg) of Lincoln and Michael Leigh (Brenda) of Kearney; his stepdaughter Terri Cook-Hart (Robert Hart) of Missouri; his grandchildren, Jacob Thomas (Rachel), Lucas Thomas (Raquel), Andrew Thomas (Vanessa), Michelle Fritz (Matt), Rachel Hernandez (Gianni), Matt Leigh and Claire Cook; and his great grandchildren, Reese, Leanor, Obadiah, Winston, Milo, Larson, Marigold, Malik, Maverick, Juliana and Emilia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Indian Hills Community Church (1000 S 84th St, Lincoln, NE 68510). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
