With sadness, we share the passing of Roger D. Teel of Kearney, Nebraska. Roger, born on August 21, 1965, passed away on October 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delazon Teel and Bonnie Smith (Flint); his son Blake Teel; and his sisters, Laura Peterson and Kelly Bliven.
He is survived by: his wife Kristie Teel of Kearney; his son Brandon Teel (Dani Linner); his grandchildren, Chad, Olivia, Harper, Dekclyn of Kearney and Brock Teel of Omaha; his children, Owen, Liam, Noah, Zailey, Dane Teel (Riele Lewis) of Elm Creek, Colby Teel (Kaylee Wilson) and Ivy of Lincoln; his stepchild Tucker Gruntorad (Heather); his stepgrandchild Hadley of Kearney; his stepson Trevor Meyer (Tisha); his stepgrandchildren, Easton, Ethan, Tyler of Arizona and Allison Harms (Kyle); his children, Garrison, Clara of Hildreth and Tanner Gruntorad (Morgan) of Shelton; and his siblings, Deb Best (Jim) of St. Paul, Tami Maruska of Kansas, Mark Woodside of Kearney and Kathy Hunt (BJ Engelhardt) of Kearney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Homes and Cremations (4115 Avenue N Pl, Kearney, NE 68847). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
