He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ott and Ethlyn Ott (Furby); his siblings, Kenneth Ott and Alberta Ott; and his siblings-in-law, Sue Ott, Milton Hisey and Everett Berg.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Ott; his children, Angelo Ott (Sharon) and Cynthia Kenney (Ott) of Kearney; his stepchildren, Lisa Hendrickson (Dan) of Shickley and Timothy Benavidez of Lincoln; his siblings, Charlene Hisey (Ott) of Kearney, Lyllis Berg (Ott) of Kearney and Gary Ott of Shelby; his siblings-in-law, Krista Ott of Kearney, Esther Tarango (Manuel) of El Paso, Texas, Frank Contreras, David Contreras of Scottsbluff, Ezekiel Contreras of Salinas, Daniel Contreras (Gloria) of Fort Smith, Eddie Contreras (Petra) of Andrews and Ruben Contreras of Kearney; and his grandchildren, Kasi Farias (Tony) of Plattsmouth, Kodi Lewis (Eddie) of Papillion, Kooper Ott (Julie) of Kearney, Kortni Thompson (Dan) of Kearney, Melissa Ott (Josh Schroeder) of Kearney, Derek Ott (Abbi) of Kearney, Amy Goodner (Nathan) of Kearney, Nate Hendrickson and Caleb Hendrickson. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, 4 step great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
