It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy J. Johnson of Kimball, Nebraska, born in Columbus, Nebraska, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Murphy and Mildred Murphy (Everett); her son Edward Johnson; her son-in-law Mark Gerardi; and her sisters, Marilyn Degenhardt and Nancy Miller.

She is survived by : her children, Jeffrey Johnson of Kimball, NE and Melanie Gerardi of Highlands Ranch, CO; her grandchildren, Genae Gerardi, Shane Johnson (Caitlin), Connor Johnson and Kelsey Millett (Brent); and her great grandchild Amaya Millett. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (507 S Howard St, Kimball, NE 69145). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be given in her memory to either Legacy of the Plains, 2930 Old Oregon Trail #8500, Gering, Nebraska 69341 or St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
