She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Janesofsky and Mildred Janesofsky (Gross); her husband Anton P. Joska; her son Frank; and her siblings, Charlotte VanMeter, Elizabeth Schandera and Frank Joska.
She is survived by: her children, Patti Vowers (Mack) of Kimball, NE., Terri Lukassen (Vaughn) of Kimball, NE., Mary Peters (Bruce) of Windsor, CO. and Tony Joska of Weld County, CO; her sister Lois Fornstrom of Pine Bluffs, WY; and her grandchildren, Scott Vowers (Erin), Julie Miller (Chad), Mark Vowers (Tami), John Vowers (Dena Hetrick), Denise Teaney (Brian), Colby Lukassen (Julieanne), Christine Peters, Jeff Peters (Marcia), Alexis Joska, Joseph Joska and Roman Joska. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cantrell Funeral Home (609 S Walnut St, Kimball, NE 69145). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kimball Cemetery West Hwy (3426 Co Rd 39, Kimball, NE 69145).
Memorials may be given in Catherine's memory to Kimball Health Services Foundation-Capital Campaign, Kimball County Manor or the Plains Historical Society.
