She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hefley and Mardell Abrams; and her mother-in-law Anna. She is survived by: her husband Richard E. Varn, Sr.; and her children, Richard Varn, Jr. (Chandra), Jennifer Holstein (Jim) and Josh Varn. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many more family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bethany Funeral Home & Cremation Service (8201 Harrison St., La Vista, NE 68128). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
