Dean leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Dean’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Dean will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by: his parents, David Barnes and Mary Barnes; his daughters, Brittanie Barnes and Breanne Smith (Brandon); his granddaughter Jaylinn; and his siblings, Brian Barnes, Jackie Cummings (Doug) and Beth Wiley (Andy).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Bethany Funeral Home (8201 Harrison St., La Vista, NE 68128). A rosary was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bethany Funeral Home & Cremation Service (8201 Harrison St., La Vista, NE 68128). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Columbkille Catholic Church (200 E Sixth St, Papillion, NE 68046).
