She was predeceased by: her parents, Burton Mattias and Marguerite Minnie L. Hartman (McClary); her husband Carl Christensen; and her siblings, Galen Hartman, Fay Hartman, Donna Skerritt, Shirley Hamer and Sharon Breitkreutz.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Chris Merkel, Kyle Christensen, Carter Christensen, Dane Christensen and Erin Wilken; her children, Dennis (Lisa Christensen), Mark (Carrie Christensen), Curt (June Christensen), Diana (Darold Merkel) and Nancy (Rob Flint); her grandchildren, Amy Christensen, Matt Christensen (Mindy), Dave Merkel (Emily), Gina Roth (Jordan), Luke Christensen (Kristen), Laura Christensen, Vanessa Petersen (Dan) and Amber Christensen; her brother Derwin Hartman; and her siblings-in-law, Russ Breitkreutz, Margot Sorensen (Harvey), Mary Ann Christensen and Joan Hartman. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the United Lutheran Church in Laurel and to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
