He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene Delatour and Frances Delatour (Kriha); his daughter Natalie; his siblings, DyAnn Armstrong and Eugene Delatour; his grandson John; and his mother-in-law Irene Fiesterman.

He is survived by : his child Joleen (Matt Merkt) of Oshkosh; his wife Debbie; his children, Chris Delatour (Susan) of Big Springs, NE and Colby Delatour (Tammy) of Tryon, NE; his sister Jackie Delatour of Harrison, NE; his father-in-law Ted Fiesterman of Lewellen; and his close friend Duke. He is also survived by 8 grandsons, 1 great-grandson and expecting a great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Van's name can be made to the Lewellen Tiger Den or Lewellen Fire Department.
