He was predeceased by: his parents, Gail Phillips and June Phillips (Tilson); his siblings, James and Laura Mattison; and his brother-in-law Ted Hinners.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry (Jennifer Phillips) of Eugene, Oregon and Jodi (Brett Hinton) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Justin Smolik (Nancy) of Amherst, Ashley Smolik of Cozad, Kyle Phillips of Eugene and Erica Phillips of Eugene, Oregon; and his great grandchildren, Alex, Gabbi and Aiden.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
