He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Ehlers and Letha Ehlers; his siblings, Jeannine (Larry Lucas), Roleen (Joy Watermeier) and Jerry Ehlers; his in-laws, George and Mabel McBride; and his brother-in-law Chuck McBride.
He is survived by: his wife Pat of Belgrade; his children, Brent (Laura Lee Ehlers) of Greeley, CO, Trish Ehlers of Palatine, IL and Britt (Megan Ehlers) of Lincoln, NE.; his grandchildren, Rafe (Renee Ehlers) of Fort Worth, TX, Ryanne Ehlers of Fort Worth, TX, Charlie Henry of Palatine, IL, Ellie Henry (Nick Shilhavy) of Brookfield, WI, Lizzie of Lincoln, NE., Addie of Lincoln, NE. and Ben Ehlers of Lincoln, NE.; his great grandchildren, Emryn and Truitt Ehlers of Fort Worth, TX.; his brother Kurt (Charla Ehlers) of Torrington, WY; and his sister-in-law Howie Ehlers of Ellensburg, WA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lexington High School (1400 Minuteman Dr, Lexington, NE 68850). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (105 E 17th St, Lexington, NE 68850). A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025 at the Greenwood Cemetery (75662 County Rd 434, Lexington, NE 68850).
