He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, James Byrns and Verna Byrns (Rasmussen); his children, Lisa and Jason; his sister Betty; his wife Janice Byrns of Lexington; his children, Beth Byrns of Lincoln and Robert Benjamin Byrns (Sammi) of North Platte; his stepdaughter Hanna Kleewein (J. C.) of Maxwell; and his brother Jim Byrns (Phyllis) of Johnson Lake. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorials are kindly suggested to the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Lexington.
