He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Smith and Emma Smith (Burchell); his siblings, Kirk Smith, Darnell Smith and Verene Bilberry; his niece Stacia Hornbacher; and his brother-in-law Ralph Zavala.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Smith of Lexington; his children, Jason Smith of Lexington, Jeremy Smith (Maritess) of Omaha and Amy Pepplitsch (Joe) of Lexington; and his grandchildren, Chloe Valdez of Colorado Springs, Rylie Steele of Omaha, Jaxson Smith of Omaha, Gracey Smith of Lexington, Mathias Pepplitsch of Lexington and Amelia Pepplitsch of Lexington.
