He was predeceased by: his parents, Caroline Hillman (Kietzke) and Emil Hillman; his stepfather Hank Grosshans; his sister Edna Wall Neesen; his siblings-in-law, Irvin and Heiko; his brothers, Ralph (Irene), Glenn and Earl; and his brother-in-law Orville Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Bev Hillman; his daughters, Becky (Garry Martin), Sarah (Doug Krueger), Rachel (Steve Mason) and Martha (Joe Hiltner); his grandchildren, Lynn (Tim Bogatz), Jordan Mason (Gel Young), Darren Mason, Rev. Jacob Krueger (Deacon Coco Lyons), Elizabeth Krueger, Caroline (Ethan Johnson), Olivia Hiltner and Jennifer Hiltner (Jake Bradley); his great grandchildren, Victoria, Timothy, Brinlee, Jaxon and Evelyn; his sister Claudine Schmidt; and his sister-in-law Norma Hillman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
