He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Maaske and Anna Maaske; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Elsie Holmquist; his siblings, Delmar (Alice), Eldred (Darlene), Darrel Maaske (Faye) and Grace Maaske; his siblings-in-law, David High, Merwyn Jones, Bruce, Howard Holmquist and Linda Maaske; and his great grandchild Leonie Palacios.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Maaske of Lincoln; his children, Sherry Koenigsman of Lincoln, Kevin Maaske (Jackie) of Lincoln and Krista Drent (Myron) of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Carissa Levering (Brandon) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kaitlyn Palacios (Noe) of Miami, FL, Kelsey Brozek (Sean) of Gretna, NE, Jessica Turner (Richie) of Bennington, NE, Brent Koenigsman (Svenja) of Lincoln, NE, Adam Drent (Denise) of Riverside, CA, Ethan Drent (Hannah) of Indianapolis, IN and Lindsey Wilson (Bennett) of Indianapolis, IN; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Moriah, Eva, Chloe Levering, Fiore, Milan Palacios, Adelaide, Elliott, Afton, Edith, Agnes, Esther Brozek, Knox, Isla Turner, Isabel, Lincoln Drent, Declan, Darcy, Rosalie, Ryan Drent and Magdalena Wilson; his siblings, Roland (Virlyn), Wayne Maaske, Margaret High and Mildred Jones; and his sisters-in-law, Donna and Shari Holmquist. He is also survived by his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
