He told me he had never had one before, but we would figure it out. That was the kind of human he was, a caring and compassionate soul with with a huge heart and a quick wit. He left he world a better place, it was an honor to know him. Sherri Wren”

“Burke was a truly great guy. I worked with Burke at the Nebraska Department of Health. Burke was truly the antithesis of what most people think of "bureaucrat" although he retired as a high-ranking leader at the agency. Burke led with humor and grace, which was and is greatly missed after he retired. He left us all with some of the fondest memories of government work.”
