She was predeceased by: her parents, George Louis and Ethel Louis (Rice) of Mary's Hospital; her husband Gary McDermitt; her son Greg Fast Husband (Gary McDermitt); her sisters, Betty Hecker (Erwin), Mary Jane Bryant (Bill) and Darlene Mueller (Don); and her nephew Mark Hecker.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Peggy Reese (Mike), Mary Johns, Vicky Filley (Dale), Steven Hecker and Mike Hecker (Jeanie); and her cousin Karlyn Gigstad Huppert. She is also survived by Numerous Great-Nieces and Nephews, Numerous Great-Grand Nieces and Nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Food Bank of Lincoln Foundation.
