He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dusen and Ruth Van Dusen (Mullis); his wife Jean; his siblings, Ruth Boyd, Carrol, John, Robert and Duane Van Dusen; and his son-in-law Robert Ross.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Ross-Riker (Bob) of Ankeny, IA, Deb Van Dusen of Lincoln and Jeff Van Dusen (Jill) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Katie Tanovic (Haris) of Oswego, IL, Drew Ross (Sarah) of Costa Mesa, CA, Adam Ross of Ankeny, IA, Corbin Van Dusen (Ali) of Elkhorn, Chris Van Dusen of LaVista and Camryn Van Dusen of Springfield; his great grandchildren, Aisha, Leila, Reyhan Tanovic, Espen, Isly, Esti Ross and Addi Ross; and his sister-in-law Gloria Van Dusen.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church (4530 A St, Lincoln, NE 68510).
Memorials may be given to American Legion Post #0354, VFW Post #131, ConnectioNPoint – Open Shelf, or donor's choice.
