He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Miksch and Carolyn Miksch of Mary's Hospital; and his sister Margaret Miksch. He is survived by: his siblings, Diane Petersen (Bill) of Loveland and Larry Miksch (Mary) of Columbus; his sons, Jason Miksch of Columbus and Eric Miksch of Lincoln; his nephews, Barry Petersen, Adam Miksch, Brian Miksch and Drew Miksch; and his niece Mandy Petersen.
