He was predeceased by : his parents, Neil Hight and Betty Hight (Brown); and his brother-in-law Ron Moravec. He is survived by : his sisters, Rebecca Hight-Moravec of Lincoln, NE and Janet Hendricks (Dennis) of Bagley, IA; his niece Melanie Horel (Andy); his great-nephews, Aiden and Reid of Prior Lake, MN; and his nieces, Nancy Moravec of Prior Lake, MN and Heather Booth (Bryan).

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dahn & Woodhouse Funeral Home - Scranton (906 Grant St, Scranton, IA 51462). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Scranton Township Cemetery (354 225th St, Scranton, IA 51462).
