With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell R. Nieman of Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on January 3, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil W. Nieman and Lois G. Nieman (Sterns); his stepfather George Benner; his parents-in-law, Albert Matthes and Dora Matthes; his siblings-in-law, Bud Matthes, Vernon Dietz, Dick Duffek and Dorothy Duffek; and his nephew Dean Matthes.
He is survived by: his cousin Cliff Schweitzer; his friend Dale Carter; his wife Carol; his sons, Jason Nieman and Michael Nieman (Hillary); his grandchildren, Amber Nieman, Brett Nieman and Henry Nieman; his brother Delbert Nieman (Jan); his sisters-in-law, Elda Dietz and Donna Matthes; and his nieces and nephews, Todd Nieman (Angela), Dale Matthes (Ila), Randy Dietz, Gary Dietz, Don Matthes, Dave Duffek (Jennifer), Cherylynn Robotham (Raymond), Verla McGinnis (Mike) and DeAnn Duffek.
