David was born on March 31st, 1950 and passed away on November 4th, 2025 at the age of 75.

David Walter Behn, 75, passed away on November 4, 2025, in Lincoln, NE. Born on March 31, 1950, in Kearney, NE to Harry and Frances (Richter) Behn. Dave was the 2nd of 5 children and spent his childhood as "one of those Behn boys" fishing, playing football, and getting into shenanigans with his brothers. Dave joined the Navy and served for 4 years. Dave met the love of his life Patricia (Gasseling) and knew she was the one, as they were married six weeks later on November 30, 1974. He would tell you he worked doing about everything. He worked in a greenhouse, he put up steel buildings, worked for the railroad, did construction, and drove for Simplot Soilbuilders. He and Patricia had two children, Amy and Jeramy. Dave loved being a dad, and attended games and matches, played games with his kids, led Boy Scout troops, and always had the best jokes! Dave's other loves were fishing and looking for rocks to polish and would always say the one thing he wished he did more was to take time for fishing.

Dave is preceded in death by his father Harry Behn, mother Frances Behn, and brother Steve Behn.

Dave is survived by: Wife, Patricia Behn, daughter Amy Sayers and her wife Carmen Chaney and their two boys Blake and Logan Sayers, son Jeramy Behn and his partner Gina Clark and their children Matthew, Kayla, Jonathan, Jacob, and Elizabeth Behn, brother Richard Behn, brother Mike Behn, sister Teresa Meusch, so many nieces and nephews, and all of his in-law brothers and sisters and their spouses.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the youth program at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church or a food bank of your choice.
