He is survived by: his children, Tracy Poppert (Dave), Matt Connely (Meredith) and Kacy Novotny (Frank); his granddaughters, Brianna Poppert, Abby Travisano, Nicole Poppert, Rachel Poppert and Hailey Novotny; and his brother Ted Connely.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Roper & Sons Midtown Chapel (4300 O St, Lincoln, NE 68510).
