Delores Tharnish Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Delores Tharnish in Lincoln, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 9, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Hilkemeier and Blanche Hilkemeier (Stingley); her husband John Tharnish; and her siblings, Ruth, Eloise, Bob, Alyce, Helen, Delbert, Dale, Betty and Donnie.
She is survived by: her children, Natalie Schlaebitz (Pat) and Scott Tharnish (Peggy); her grandchildren, Renae Meyer (Wade), Kara Wacker (Adam), Jodi McLaughlin (Jason) and Matt Schlaebitz (Megan); and her siblings-in-law, Adana Hilkemeier, Anna Schumacher, Rita Wagner, Patricia Neumann and Bob Tharnish. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home (6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512). A rosary will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St John's Catholic Church (7601 Vine St, Lincoln, NE 68505).
