He is survived by: his children, Bill Shandera (Denise) and Cathy Shandera; his sisters, Arlene Valenta, Bette Neddenriep and Maxine Scherzinger; and his grandchildren, Justin Shandera, Joslyn Fankhauser and Carli Shandera. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.
