With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Jean (Starkel) Anderson (Lincoln, Nebraska), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 19, 2025 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Starkel and Lydia Starkel; her son Mark; her husband Ivan Anderson; her siblings, Joyce Starkel, Marjorie Santerre and Larry Starkel; and her son-in-law Shawn Ring.
She is survived by: her children, Lorri Ring of Lincoln, Gloria Hartshorn (Kenny) of Lincoln, Steve Anderson (Gail) of Pleasant Dale and Jerry Anderson of Pleasant Dale; her grandchildren, Ryan Anderson (Kelly), Amy Anderson, Chadd Sewell and Travis Sewell; her stepgrandchildren, Ivy Ring and Skylar Eickhoff; her great grandchildren, Sydney, Karly, Lia, Kinley, Mason, Jaxon, Zaydon and James; and her sister Betty Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to United Lutheran Church.
