She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Vorderstrasse and Anna Matilda "Tillie" Vorderstrasse (Harmes); her husband Marvin Leon Monter of John's Lutheran Church; her sisters, Lorene Jagels and Betty Poppe; her son Brent Monter; and her son-in-law Mark Colligan.

She is survived by: her sister Marilyn Schroeder; her children, Darla Morris (Darrell), Timothy Monter, Jean Colligan and JoLene Monter (Aaron Miller); her daughter-in-law Lisa Monter; her grandchildren, Linsey Denmark (Kelly), Joshua Monter (Carly), Brianna Loss (Justin), Julia Monter, Jessica Winberg (Mike), Max Colligan, Matthew Monter, Samuel Colligan, Jude Monter and Luke Monter; her great grandchildren, Mason Denmark and Savana Denmark; her grandchildren, Coraline Monter and Leighton Loss; and her sister-in-law Julia VanMeter. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other friends.
