He is survived by: his wife Laura Smith; his sons, Brett Smith (Jennifer), Brad Smith (Heather) and Jesse Smith; his sister Donna Neumayer; his grandsons, Graham and Ben; and his siblings-in-law, LaRae Smith, Betty and Bill Abell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family wishes memorials to the American Diabetes Association or Foundation Fighting Blindness.
