He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Larisa Solkan; his siblings, Stephan and Nina Petrov (Oselskaya); and his children, Vitaly, Liya and Remus.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the First Slavic Baptist Church (3801 La Salle St, Lincoln, NE 68516). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
