He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth L. Roby and Ruth F. Roby; his parents-in-law, Erwin and Edith Habermann; his sister Rita White (Richard); his aunts, Donna, Rose and Betty; his friend Merlin Kottman; and his brother George Berry.
He is survived by: his wife Birgit Habermann; his children, Sarah Peters (Drew) and Matthew "Matt" (Lindsey); his grandchildren, Henry, Kathleen, Andrew Peters, Colt Roby and Reagen Siebrandt; his sisters, Nancy Marlette (Loren) and Janet "Jan" Douglass (Vance); his aunts, Frances Spencer and Della Wolford; and his friend Tom Zieg.
He finally retired for good shortly after the COVID outbreak began.
