He was predeceased by: his parents, Johny Henderson Gilliland and Vera Ella Willhauck; his son Larry Gilliland; and his pets, Muff and Jazzy.
He is survived by: his wife Illa Mae Gilliland; his son Gary Gilliland (Mary); his grandson Lukas Gilliland (Kailee); and his great grandchildren, Theodore, Wesley Gilliland, Angie Runyan (Avo) and Stacey Runyan. He is also survived by six step grandchildren.
