He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl L. Retzlaff and Bertha Broening Retzlaff; his wife Lorraine; his son Keith; his son-in-law David Reinke; and his siblings, Verna and Ralph.

He is survived by: his brother Irvin Retzlaff; his sister-in-law Anita Retzlaff; and also, Alan Retzlaff (Shirley), Janet Ronhovde (Jack), Paul Retzlaff and Kathleen Reinke.

Memorials in lieu of flowers to Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund.
