He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Rutt Sr. and Agnes Marie Gushard; his grandmother Granpy of Maine; his son Tommy Rutt; his sons-in-law, Darwyn Ryder, Larry TeSelle and Henry Reifschneider; and his grandson Jeremy Sowards.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his children, Donna Reifschneider, Karen TeSelle, Harold Sowards (Debra), Susan Ryder and William Rasp; and his grandchildren, Jessica Ruhl, Clint Thompson (Diane), Wayne Mami (Chanda), Leah Meier (Scott), Linnea Donner, Kristina Watson (Jason), Gail Lowery (Richard), Justin Sowards, Kyle Sowards, Sonya Rekart (Toby), Brandon Ryder and Ashley Rasp. He is also survived by 33 great-grandchildren, 12 great great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews.
