He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Lamphear and Ida Lamphear (McFarland); his significant other Gloria F. Walek; and his siblings, Jackie, Betty, John Jr. and Ken.
He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Thomas (Adrian) and Traci Wardman; his grandchildren, Ben Swanson (Heather), Logan Cleverly (Dallin) and Chase Wardman; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Emma, Cooper and Cleverly.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Isles Reception Hall (6232 Havelock Ave, Lincoln, NE 68507).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to benefit Tabitha Hospice, honoring the compassionate care they provide.
