She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Refshauge and Henrietta Refshauge; her husband Dr. O. R. Hayes (Bob); her sisters, Marie Jacobs, Ilene Gotobed and Bonnie Crown; and her son Robert David Hayes.
She is survived by: her great grandchild Karen Ragsdale (John) of Westminster, CO; her grandchildren, Jim Hayes (Connie) of Palm City, FL, Bill Hayes (Stacy) of Highlands Ranch, CO, Janet Hayes of Lincoln, NE, Ashley Ragsdale, Erin Sparks and Lindsay Ragsdale; her great grandchildren, Amy, Michael, Eric Hayes, Katie Huey (Zach), Lauren Roybal (Mike), Austin Hayes, Steve Hayes (Taylor), Summer Hayes (Zach Tanner), Rylie and Parker Roybal; and her grandchildren, Roy, Reggie Tanner, Hendrix and Jett Hayes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM.
She was member and past president of PEO Chapter CS and the Lancaster County Medical Auxiliary, served as co-chairman of Governor Kay Orr's Inaugural Committee, and was named a "Woman of the Year" by the Nebraska Arthritis Foundation.
