With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Mayer of Lincoln, Nebraska, born in Fairbury, Nebraska, who passed away on May 24, 2023 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Verlin Mayer and Gertrude Mayer (Schroeder); and his brother Dennis Mayer. He is survived by: his spouse Christy Wayland; and his siblings, Marilyn Dach (Pete), Pat Heser and Robert Mayer. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews, 20 great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
