With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Sowell in Lincoln, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 4, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sowell Sr. and Agatha Sowell; his son James Sowell; and his siblings, John Sowell, Michael Sowell and Sandra Dune.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Sowell; his brothers, Bobby Sowell and Gene Sowell; his daughters, Angela Campbell, Marie Owens and Talessa Cheatham; and his stepchildren, Mike Smith, Shelly Loy and Debra Kelly. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
