He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Tanner and Delma Tanner (Houser); his son Charles Joseph Tanner; and his brother Donald Tanner. He is survived by: his wife Renee Tanner; his daughters, Sherri Tanner Ricardes (Robert) and Amy Webb (Richard); and his sister Sharon Rowse (Gail). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
