He was predeceased by: his wife E. Gayle Metzler (Metzler); and his son William Preston Macdonald. He is survived by: his children, James G. Macdonald, Angela (Josh Whittenburg), David M. Macdonald and Elizabeth (Adam Rabago). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
