It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Marie Williss in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Jean Marie leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles E. Wilcox and Metta K. Wilcox (Schaefer); and her husband Russ. She is survived by: her sons, David C. Williss (Anji Woods) and John R. Williss (Cassie Day); her grandchildren, Katy Bremer (Jordan), John Williss (Kelsey), Benjamin Williss, Rachel Williss and Andrew Williss; and her brothers, John Wilcox (Lynn) of Aurora, NE and Charles Wilcox (Donna) of Papillion, NE.. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home (6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Christ (5640 Vine St, Lincoln, NE 68504).
