He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis J. Benson and Edith Evans-Benson; and his sister Karen Kaems. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Benson; his sons, Andrew Kent Benson (Renee Benson) of Lincoln, NE and Jeremy William Benson (Erin Benson) of Frisco, TX.; his grandchildren, Jessica Nobbe, Nathan Benson, Michael Benson, Chandler Benson and Thatcher Benson; his great grandchildren, Jeremiah Nobbe, Thomas Nobbe, Cooper Benson and Brynlee Benson; his sister Peggy Engstrom; and his nieces, Julie Dove, Leslie Kaems and Lori Campbell.
