We bid farewell to John R. Coupe of Lincoln, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 7, 2025 at the age of 96. John R. touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Coupe and Abbey Coupe (Higgins); his sister Elizabeth Nelson (Mary Sue Coupe); and his daughter Candice Potratz. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Swindle; his daughter Caroline Schainost (Mitch) of Lincoln, NE; his son-in-law Larry Potratz of Lincoln, NE; and his stepchildren, Sonya Kummer (Randy) of Nebraska City, NE and Rex Peake (Jamie) of Lincoln, NE. He is also survived by six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
