It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie E. Jurgensen (Lincoln, Nebraska), born in Lexington, Nebraska, who passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Jurgensen and Bonita Jurgensen; and his brother Dennis Jurgensen. He is survived by: his wife Deb; his children, Elly Jurgensen of Dallas and Jaydee Jurgensen (Andrea Hunter) of Dallas, Texas.; his brothers-in-law, Steve Clapp (Ledene) of Kearney, Nebraska and John Clapp of McCook, Nebraska; his sibling's children, Kasey Clapp of Boulder, Colorado, Josette McConville (Justin) of Kearney, Nebraska, Erica Clapp of New Zealand and Sydney Clapp of Denver, CO; his great-nephew Brodie McConville; and his great-niece Lexie McConville. He is also survived by his many God-Children and other close relatives and friends.

Memorials may be given in John's memory to McCook College Foundation in support of the men's basketball program where he was a student-athlete and coach or to Southwood Lutheran Church.
